While we're actively working on providing developers with a true sandbox environment, we realize the importance of being able to test our API. For this reason, we came up with a temporary solution: a Reflector account that developers can send money to, and would receive it right back.
Dwolla's money transfer API can be tested using our Reflector account. Any money sent to the reflector account, will be automatically returned to the originating account within 10 minutes, split in chunks of $10.00. Outbound transaction from the Reflector account will include detailed information in the notes field of the transfer, similar to this: "Refund for transaction ID: 1347823. Chunk 1 of 3.".
While we avoid transaction fees on the return path (by chunking the transactions), we generally cannot refund any transaction fees paid on the inbound transaction. This will occur when the test payment is over $10.00. If you believe that this will hinder your ability to test the API, contact us here.
The Reflector account can be reached by any one of our supported identification modes: Dwolla ID, Email address, Facebook ID, Twitter handle, and Phone number. The Reflector's IDs are as follows:
